OBITUARY Mary R. Murphy September 19, 1925 – July 28, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Mary Murphy of Suffern NY, has passed away peacefully on July 28, she was 92 years old. Mary was born in Italy on Sept. 19, 1925 to the late Carmela and Luigi Rittendale.

The family moved to Tuxedo, NY when she was 4 years old where she resided with her family for 14 years, then moved to Suffern where she worked for the Bank of New York. Mary loved to dance and will be remembered for her full and active life, warm gentle smile and compassionate loving heart. Mary was active in Senior Clubs including Hillburn, Montebello, Ramapo and Suffern.

She also enjoyed Friday night card games with her girlfriends. For many years Mary was an active member of the Suffern Soup Kitchen and Sacred Heart Church’s Lady’s Guild. Mary is predeceased by her husband, John and her brother Ernest Rittendale.

She is survived by the love of her life and partner Carl, her sister Rose (Josh), her brother Anthony, and many nieces and nephews. Mary will be missed by her family and friends who shared her blessed life. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern NY.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY with the interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
