Obituary for Mary Rose Cavin (Portell) Mary Rose Cavin of Cadet, Missouri was born on September 3, 1938, a daughter to the late Joseph Portell and the late Ida (Politte) Magdolin. On December 31, 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Raymond Cavin. Mary passed away on October 13, 2018 at Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached eighty years of age.

Survivors include two step-daughters: Pam (Wayne) Vest and Rae Ann Syverson; two sisters: Betty Bone and Sylvia “Sue” Bayless; and brother-in-law, Eli Robart. Also surviving are dear step-grandchildren, step great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Cavin; brothers: Simon Portell, Everett Portell, James Portell, Joseph Rousan, and Milton Paul Portell; and sister, Anna Marie Robart.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM, held at DeClue Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church on Thursday, October 18, 2018, beginning at 10:00, with Fr. Anthony Dattilo officiating.
