Obituary for Mary Verner Mrs. Mary Sue Hayes Verner, age 62 of 379 Valley Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at her residence. A daughter of the late Ernest and Offie York Hayes, she was born October 31, 1955 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Hart County, Georgia and the last several months in Toccoa. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings. Survivors include her former husband, Johnny Verner; three sons and daughters-in-law, Shannon and Sonya Verner of Commerce, Dusty and Brooke Verner and Justin Verner both of Toccoa; four grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Hayes of Hartwell; three sisters, Jean Cleveland and Alice Black both of Hartwell and Maudine Holmes of Royston. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 5, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. at the Lavonia Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Jennifer Horton officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Lavonia Presbyterian Church on Thursday from noon until time for the service. Online condolences can be left for the family at www. acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Mary Sue Hayes Verner.
