Obituary for Mary Bryant (Zecchini) Dateline – Cape Porpoise, ME Mary Z. Bryant, 97, of Cape Porpoise, died late Sunday evening, July 22, 2018 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. She was born in Lawrence, MA on July 11, 1921, the daughter of Francis and Mary Eleanor (Holt) Zecchini. In earlier years, Mary worked as a librarian.

She then became a homemaker. As her children grew and left home, Mary would often accompany her husband, a merchant captain with United Fruit Company, on his journeys. In addition to playing the piano, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader, especially interested in keeping up with current affairs.

Mary was also a long time member of Church on the Cape. She is predeceased by her husband, Russell E. Bryant. Survivors include two sons, Calvin Bryant of Kennebunkport, and Russell Bryant of VA; two daughters, Judith Black of CT and Alice Doyle of CA.
