Monson-Marylynn (Connelly) Griggs, 53, passed away after her courageous battle with multiple sclerosis, Friday, April 27, 2018, surrounded by the love of family. Marylynn was born September 24, 1964 in Norwood, MA to Joan P (Cusick) Connelly and John J. Connelly. She has been a resident of Monson for many years.

Marylynn was a registered nurse and worked at Dedham Medical for several years. She was an assistant school nurse and loved working with children. She was a parishioner of North American Martyrs Parish in Auburn and attended St. Patrick’s Church in Monson.

Marylynn leaves her loving husband William J. Griggs and their children, Jacob E. Griggs and Mary K. Griggs all of Monson; her mother Joan P. Connelly of Westwood; her father, John J. Connelly of Florida; sisters, Kimberly Fitzgerald and her husband Dan of Sandwich, MA , Pamela Venti and her husband Michael of Westwood; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 with Funeral Liturgy at 11am in North American Martyrs Parish, 8 Wyoma Drive Auburn, MA 01501. A reception will follow at 1pm at The Publick House 277 Main St. Sturbridge, MA 01566.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
