Obituary Service Details MATTHEW K. “MONK” GREMAUX 60, from Monroeville, IN, passed away November 25, 2017 at home while surrounded by family. Born in Ft. Wayne, to the late Walter and Mary Gremaux of Monroeville, IN.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Les Sherman and sister-in-law Linda Gremaux. He is survived by his loving wife Teri Gremaux, his two step-children David Epling (Feliz) of Phoenix AZ, and Christen Epling (Dan), grandson Joseph A. Epling of Brunswick, OH; seven siblings, Linda Sherman, Steven Gremaux, Connie (Tim) Werling, Mark (Marsha) Gremaux, Melanie Egri, Kay Gremaux and Rita Gremaux, along with 9 nieces and nephews. Matthew was a laborer throughout life, beginning by working with his father who was a carpenter.

Matt did construction and factory work. He had many interests like playing cards, music and was an avid Cubbies fan. He loved sports, both playing as well as watching them.

He organized and was very active in many fund raisers. He loved his family dearly. He was a gentle giant with a great sense of humor who had a big heart and a soft spot for children.
