Services for Mattie Bell Morrow, 86, of Frankfort, will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Bro. Everett Hawkins will officiate.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home, and Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mattie died Thursday at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born to the late Ruby Greenup and Sutter Buffin, she spent most of her life as a homemaker, but thoroughly enjoyed waitressing at various restaurants around Frankfort.
She also loved flowers and spent a lot of time gardening. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Morrow, Sr.; sisters, Anne Sunley, Shirley Rogers, and Josephine Buffin; and a brother, Gregory Dodd.
Survivors include her four children; Elizabeth Morrow (Jack) Newton, Stacey Morrow (Monty) Owens, Susan Morrow Dickerson, and David Allen (Dawn) Morrow, all of Frankfort; grandchildren, Shelley Marie Wood, Charlotte Cutter, Amy Crume, and Brayden Dickerson; great-grandchildren, Christopher Wood, Garryn Wood, Nicholas Cutter, Dylan Denney, Morgan Bramer, and Grant May; and sisters, Ruth Sallee, and Lou Ann Leathers. Pallbearers will be David Morrow, Jr., Brayden Dickerson, Monty Owens, Garryn Wood, Chris Rhodes, and Susan Morrow Dickerson. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 50 Bridgeport Benson Road, Frankfort, Kentucky, 40601, OR Bluegrass Care Navigators 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40504.
