Maureen Vladick August 02, 1933 – May 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Colonia, Maureen Vladick, affectionately known as “Mo” to her friends and coworkers, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2019. Maureen was born and raised in Ipswich, England and emigrated to the United States in the 1950s. She never lost her British accent and it was very recognizable in the jobs she loved; as a switchboard operator for A-1 Dependable Answering Service in Woodbridge, a collections specialist for New England Critical Care in Edison, and in later years as a front desk receptionist at Rahway Hospital.

Even after retiring, she continued to volunteer at the hospital, bringing good cheer to patients and their families. She resided in Avenel for 45 years before moving to Colonia 8 years ago. Maureen is predeceased by her late husband Nick who passed away in 2002.

She is survived by daughter Tracy and her husband Rick; son Kyle and his wife Carol; grandchildren Eric, Matt, and Kaitlyn; and her sister Rita in England. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm at the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home, 275 West Milton Avenue, Rahway, NJ 07065.

Cremation will be private.
