Maurice Crowe, 40 of Elmer, Missouri passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at his home. Maurice was born to Maurice & Donna (McCreery) Crowe in Oskaloosa, Iowa on December 17, 1978. Maurice grew up and attended school in Oskaloosa and Centerville.

He later attended Hyles-Anderson Bible College in Crown Point, Indiana. He also attended Law Enforcement Training Center in Moberly, Missouri in 2001 and later FBI executive development program in St Louis, Missouri in 2012. On December 15, 2013, Maurice was united in marriage to Becky Ruckman.

Maurice was employed as an RTE Process Lead by Kraft Foods in Kirksville. Maurice accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior at a young age and attended The Crossing Church in Kirksville. If Maurice could eat, sleep and breath racing he would have.

He enjoyed music by singing and playing guitar, crafty projects such as leathering and outdoor activities that included, camping, hunting, and kayaking. Maurice dreamed of living off the grid and did everything he could to be self-sufficient. He had a true appreciation for nature and enjoyed going on survival trips.

One of Maurices biggest beliefs was blood makes you related, loyalty makes you family and he had many people in his life that he felt was his family but most of all he loved spending time with his wife and kids. Survivors include his wife, Becky Crowe, children: Gavin Crowe, Seth Crowe, Taylor Salstrand, Leah Crowe, Ellie Salstrand, mother, Donna Crowe, sisters: Rhonda Dykstra (Rick), Pam Wheeler, Cheri Coin, sister-in-law, Angela Brown (Jamie), brother-in-law, Paul Ruckman (Jen), mother-in-law, Peggy Ruckman (Jeff Thomas) and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Crowe, father-in-law, Larry Ruckman and grandmother, Frances McCreery.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home from 12-4 p.m. with the family present from 1-4 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family which will be designated at a later date and condolences may be share at www.
