Obituary for Max Elmer Carney Carney, Max Elmer, age 84, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018, in Murray, Kentucky. Max was born on May 25, 1934 in Joelton, Tennessee, to the late Thomas Alex Carney and Iva Love Anderson Carney. Max served in the United States Army.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator. Max is preceded in death by his brother, Elmo Carney and his sister, Doris Anderson. He is survived by his sons, David, Chris and Tim Carney; his daughters, Cynthia Akins and Annita Ziegler; his brothers, Thomas and Charles Carney; sisters, Charlene Anderson, Joy Hicks and Billie McGill; eleven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
