Max Gardner Pennell age 88 of Jefferson died Saturday at the Johnson City VA Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mr. Pennell is survived by: His wife: Charlotte Pennell, four sons, Max Eugene Pennell of FL, Teddy Pennell of Boone, Ricky Pennell of Fleetwood, and Steven Pennell of the home, two daughters, Shirley Harrison of Blowing Rock and Joann Dobes of FL, one sister, Mary Alice Issaacs of Zionville, one brother, Johnny Pennell of Boone, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
