M. Maxine Cupp, age 93, passed away on February 21, 2019 in Hampton, GA,. Maxine was born August 18, 1925 in Kenton to the late Burle and Fairy (Jolliff) Reed. She married Burlen “Buster” Cupp, November 18, 1945 in Old Fort, Ohio and he passed away on April 19, 1963.

Maxine graduated from Sycamore High School in 1943. She was a homemaker and gardener after retiring from the VA hospital in Columbia, SC after 15 years of service. She is survived by her children: Ramona Stutes and Rachel Beaver, both of Midwest City, OK.

, Ronnie (Deborah) Cupp, Hampton, GA and Robyn (Arnold) Burrows of Sumter, SC. 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters: Bernice C. Durer and Marie Shuey, both of Tiffin, OH.

, along with many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons; Randall and Richard Cupp, a grandson Richard Cupp Jr., brothers: Charles, Neal and Larry Lee Reed; and her sisters: Ruth Fatzinger; Betty Parker; Mary Barber and Fairy Kathryn Reed. A memorial service will be held at later date, with Lucas-Batton Funeral Home of Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions can be made to Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton at 476 S. Sandusky Ave.
