OBITUARY Mayo Spain Smith October 10, 1943 – January 29, 2019 Mayo Spain Smith, age 75, of Alabaster, Alabama, joined her husband in Heaven on January 29, 2019. One of 14 children, she was raised on Smokey Road and attended Thompson High School. She married Jimmy R. Smith in 1958.

She attended church regularly with her family, and her faith was very important to her. She was devoted to her family and always spoke her mind. She now has entered the Kingdom of God to reunite with all her loved ones who have gone before.

She is survived by her sons, Jamie Smith and Kenny Smith; daughters, Sherry Tina Davenport and Susan Boothe (John); 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ora Mae Stanley, Mattie Dickens, Jimmie Kazziah, Frances Hinds, Dot Tyler, Bobby Spain, Shirley Brasher, and Dean Averett. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo). Graveside services will take place on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Moores Cemetery in Montevallo.
