Melanie’s Obituary Melanie Diane Roberts, age 45 passed away on March 11, 2019 at 7:20 PM at Willis Knighton South due to complications of a sudden illness. Melanie was born July 28, 1973 and went to Oil City Elementary, Mooringsport Elementary and graduated from Northwood High School. She became a stay at home mom running Isabella to girl scouts and other activities.

She always had a smile and a positive outlook. She made friends wherever she went. She took care of her father along with her own family and always made time to stop her day to talk to her sisters and close friends.

Melanie is survived by her fiancé Erick Mendoza, daughter Isabella Mendoza of Shreveport, LA, her father, Vernon Roberts of Shreveport, LA, sister Belinda McMellon and husband John McMellon and two nieces Charlotte and Katie McMellon, along with a great niece Aubrey McMellon, her sister Christy Bobbitt of Shreveport, LA, and two nephews, Tyler Bobbitt of Shreveport, LA, and Cade Bobbitt of Springhill, LA, and two great nephews Keith Bobbitt and Kobain Bobbitt, and great niece Keelih Bobbitt, along with aunts and uncles and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Roberts, her maternal grandparents, Buddy and Lerlene French, her paternal grandparents Virl and Lois Roberts, her aunts Margaret Bridges and Shirley Lloyd, and her uncles, Gary Lloyd, Johnny Heflin, Marvin Heflin, Bob Guth, and Johnny Vaughn. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA.
