Melanie Jeanne (Witteman) Price 62, went to be with angels on Saturday, October 13 2018, after her battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her devoted family. She was pre-deceased by her parents Joyce and Malcolm Witteman, sister Elaine Alston and special cousin Denise Robinson. Melanie is survived by her adoring husband Ernest Price, her loving daughter Jennifer(Steve) Hornbrook, her two sons Heath(Kimberly) Price,Garrett (Angela) Price; Grandchildren,Miranda, Savannah,Janice,Lauren, Kaigen ,Elizabeth and four Great-Grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother Don Witteman. Nieces Shelly and Danielle. Her Niece Crystal and Nephew Donny knew her as Auntie ‘M’.

Melanie was admired by her cousins Theresa ,Mike and Misty. She was a beautiful woman,beloved wife and a wonderful mother known for lighting a room up with her smile. Melanie worked alongside her husband as proprietors of Lawrence’s Resturant and Dairy Bar in Conklin, NY .

She was a woman of many talents later working at GE, Harvard Custom Manufacturing, Realty USA, and Allstate insurance. Melanie loved vacations at the beach with her husband and family, She had many hobbies and interest which occupied her time. Shopping,shopping,shopping , gardening and bird watching were some of her favorites.

The family will receive friends at Hopler & Eschbach funeral home Tuesday, October 16 2018 from 5 pm – 6 pm with memorial service to follow at 6pm. A celebration of life will begin at 7pm at American Legion Post 80, 76 Main St. Binghamton, NY. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research or Lourdes Hospice.
