Melba Etta Reynolds, 68 of Alvarado Melba was born January 10, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas to Juanita Bell Brown and Alvin Lester (Stubb) Labadie. Her lineage included the Osage Indian Tribe. She married Joe David Reynolds December 8, 1978 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Melba & Joe retired in 2003 from GTE/Verizon where they made life-long friendships with many people. She taught those around her how to love unconditionally. Once you were brought or married into the family, you were family for life.

She loved traveling and her dog Precious. Her passions included volunteering with the Mountain High Brain Injury Camp. Melba was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Floyd Long; and brother, Melton Brown.

Her siblings included her sister, Marie Johnson and her brother Stubby Giles and his wife Charlie with a host of nieces and nephews. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Joe Reynolds; daughter, Angela Calvin and her husband, Randy; sons, Bryan Long and his wife, Brandi; Christopher Regan and his wife, Lucero; Brent Reynolds and his wife, Aundrea; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on October 27, 2018 @ 1pm Five Points Church 5525 E. Hwy.
