Melba’s Obituary Melba Frances Duncan, 91, of Wichita Falls passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Taylor officiating.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Altus City Cemetery in Altus, Oklahoma. Melba was born on July 12, 1927 to the late Joseph and Mary (Mobley) Pelfrey. Melba was a longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, residing there for over fifty five years until moving to Wichita Falls.

She retired in 1984 from Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator. Melba was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Wichita Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband J I Duncan; son Jimmy Duncan; daughter Janice Willis; and brother Edwin Pelfrey.
