Melissa Carol Colson, age 31 of East Dublin, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019. Ms. Colson was born in Ft. Stewart, GA.

She was employed as a Soil Sample Specialist with T. Lake. She was an artist, a photographer, who loved old trucks and working in her garden. Melissa was a dedicated mother who loved her family fiercely.

She was truly unique and had a special zest for life. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Rosa Bennett Hall, paternal grandfather, Jimmy L. Hall, maternal grandparents, Hugh and Janice Alligood, Aunt, Sandra Joy Lanier. Survivors include her son Jordan Todd Fredy (and his father Jeff Fredy) of East Dublin, mother, Benita Carrol Paulsen (James) of Lilburn, father Thomas Jefferson Colson III (Sharon Parker) of Wrightsville, sister, Tiffany Colson of Lilburn, nephew, Aiden Parker of Lilburn, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
