Obituary for Melva Irine Petway Melva Irine Petway, 93, of Benton, KY, passed away at 4:18 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Petway was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Artie Alvey Petway of Benton; two sons, Ronnie Petway and wife Rita of Benton, Randle Petway of Calvert City; one daughter, Arlene Fowler and husband Henry of Symsonia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. William and Sophronia (Herzog) Koerner; two brothers; four sisters. A private graveside service was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Herzog Cemetery in Paducah. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions made to Lourdes Hospice, PO Box 7100, Paducah, KY 42002-7100.
