Melvin, a son of the late Henry and Hattie Jones Allen, was born September 29, 1948 in Halifax County, NC. Viewing of Mr. Melvin Allen will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Cofield Mortuary, Weldon, NC.

A Celebration Honoring the Life and Spirit of Mr. Melvin Allen will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from The Sanctuary of Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Gaston, NC. The Pastor, Bishop Wayne I. Welch, Sr. will preside and the words of comfort will be given by Pastor Gerry Smith. Mr. Allen will lie in state and may be viewed at the church one hour (10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.) prior to the service and will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

The Cofield Family and Staff of Cofield Mortuary are honored to provide comfort, assistance and service to The Allen Family.
