On Tuesday February 12, 2019, Melvin C. Orchard II, husband, father, brother, and friend passed away at the age of 75. He was many things to many people and loved by all. Mel was known for his adventurous spirit, his uncanny sense of humor and his love of music.

He loved to make people laugh and was an incredible story teller. Mel’s love of the outdoors was infectious. He was an avid mountaineer, climber, skier (water and snow), surfer, and outdoorsman.

He loved his family, and he loved the little things, his treasures and the nuances of life. He loved to travel and was always searching for the next adventure. Mel will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend, Regina, his children, Melvin, Mary, Monica and Barbara, grandchildren, Liam, Katie, Owen, Kristina, Oliver, and Braxton, sisters, Catherine and Rebecca, brother, David, and many friends.

His life will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday February 16, 2019 at the Sugarhouse Ward building 1621 South 1100 East SLC, UT.
