Venla Whipple Reid, age 82, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019. She married William V. Reid in the Mesa Arizona LDS temple on March 20, 1958. Her devotion to her family and belief in the gospel supported here throughout her life and gave her peace .

Venla was born to Charles and Adele Whipple, in Show Low, Arizona. She is survived by 4 children Charles Vern Reid(Marlo), Katherine D’lynn Ward(Samuel), Tod William Reid(Jenalee), and Laurel Faith Reid. She also has ten grandchildren, whom she adored, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Venla is also survived by three brothers. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, and two sons, John Thor Reid and Jeffrey Wayne Reid. She was a graduate of BYU and enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She served as Relief Society President and served many years in the genealogy extraction program, and as a ward librarian. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Clinton 20th Ward, 1288 W. 1300 N. Clinton, UT with a viewing prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment afterward at the Clinton City Cemetery.
