Mercedes Jane Fetty, 79, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. Jane grew up at the Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors Home, where she graduated in 1957 from Morton Memorial High School. She had worked at L&K Restaurant in Spiceland.

She is survived by her two children, Carrie (Steven) Clark of Mooreland, and James Fetty of New Castle; three grandchildren, Aaron Fetty of Greensburg, Wesley Clark of New Castle, and Elsie (Rodney) Watson of Mooreland; great grandchildren, Holton Clark, Logan and Zoey Watson; and one sister, Anna Danford of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Chuck Glaze, and a sister, Betty Holtz. A memorial visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
