Larry John Lenceski, 69, of New Castle passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at Henry Community Health. He was born October 21, 1949 in Shaker Heights, OH to the late Joseph and Sophia (Lewandowski) Lenceski. He had been employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in New Castle and was the co-owner of Trojan Auto Parts and Trackside Automotive.

Larry was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He was a 4th degree knight in the Knights of Columbus and was active in the Henry County Sertoma Club. Larry enjoyed participating in auto racing, cooking and enjoyed time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cathy (Stinson) Lenceski; sons, Joseph (Amy) Lenceski, Larry Lenceski both of Carmel and Paul Lenceski (Fiancé, Danielle Pierce) of New Castle; three grandchildren, Sophia, Max and Alice; sister, Karen (Michael) Mitchell of New Castle; nieces and nephews, Ann Marie Lenceski, Evan Mitchell, Mary (Andrew) Powell, Joe Perry, Andrea Steht and Karen Tuttle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Joseph W. Lenceski, Donna J. Stanley and Richard T. Lenceski. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father John Hall officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19th at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be sent to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 7301 Georgetown Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
