Obituary for Merle Ann Ellis Merle Ann Ellis, 83, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018 surrounded by her family after a long battle with heart complications. She was born in Norwich, CT October 23, 1934 and moved to Inglewood, Ca. in 1956.

After marrying Darwin “Buzz” Ellis they moved to Phoenix in 1965. Merle enjoyed working hours in her yard, having lunches with her friends and neighbors, golfing, traveling/camping and especially being with her grandkids and great-granddaughters. Merle was preceded in death by husband, Darwin “Buzz” Ellis; son, William “Bill” Ladd; her parents, James and Mabelle Mileski; and siblings, Bert Mileski, Jimmy Mileski, Joan Bassetti and Celia Mileski.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dale) Moody of Elko, NV; grandson, Tyler Moody; granddaughter, Shawna (Jesse) Henderson and great-granddaughters Brynlee, Harper and Maci; and her doggies, Mia and Katie. Services for Merle will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018, 11. 00 a.m. at Central Christian Church Chapel, 933 Lindsay Rd, Mesa.

Graveside services with be at Mesa Cemetery, 1212 North Center Street, Mesa at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the AZ Humane Society. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Merle Ann Ellis please visit our Sympathy Store. Upcoming Events 2018 APR 17.
