Obituary for Merle F.E. Gust Jr. Merle F.E. Gust, Jr., age 62 of Port Hope, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare of Saginaw. He was born on January 19, 1956 in Japan to the late Merle and Kathleen (Butler) Gust. Merle served in the US Air Force for over 20 years.

He loved working on old cars, watching NASCAR, and was an avid University of Michigan fan, especially Football and Basketball. He was a life member of the AmVets Post of Port Hope. He is survived by his children: Candice Gust of Plano, Texas, and Sydni Gust of Oakwood, IL, grandchildren: Julian and Sabol, great grandchild Daemon Collier, and siblings: Patricia Corrion of Bad Axe, Roseann Aondrajka of Kilmanagh, Michael Gust of POrt HOpe, Christopher Gust of Port Hope, Matthew Gust of Milford and Mark Gust of Port Hope.

Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory of Bay City. A Graveside service will take place Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11 am at Verona Township Cemetery. Military Honors will be given by the AmVets Post of Port Hope.
