Merlyn Bohnsack, 79, of Iowa Falls, and formerly of Mason City, passed away February 24, 2019, at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls, Per Merlyn’s request, direct cremation was requested with no services. The Linn’s Funeral Home is helping the family with arrangements. Memorials will be directed to Merlyn’s granddaughter: Mandy Faktor, 1306 Green Terrace Drive, Round Rock, Texas 78664.

Merlyn Bohnsack was born October 3, 1939, at Mason City, Iowa. He graduated Mason City Community Schools. After high school he joined the United States Navy for four years, returning to Mason City after his discharge.

He worked for Winnebago Industries in the woodworking department for many years and after retirement he worked for Menards in Mason City. Merlyn married Alace Davis on December 28, 1977. Merlyn Bohnsack is survived by three sisters: Donna Brumman, Marilyn Langford, and Mona Morris, all of Mason City, Iowa; one brother: Gary Bohnsack of Greensboro, North Carolina; and three grandchildren: Mandy Faktor of Round Rock, Texas, Robbie Stauffacher of Mason City, Iowa, and Ronald Stauffacher of Houston, Texas.
