Obituary for Merriam Louise Kleiman INDIANAPOLIS – Merriam Louise Kleiman, age 79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at Harrison Terrace on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born on October 9, 1938 in Marion County, she was the daughter of Ezra and Muriel (Piel) Kleiman. Merriam was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, where she served on the alter guild.

She attended Zion Lutheran School through her primary years before attending New Palestine High School. She was employed as an accountant throughout her adult life and enjoyed spending her free time cheering for the Cincinnati Reds. She is survived by her brothers, Vernon Kleiman of Indianapolis and Gerald Kleiman of New Palestine; nephews, Brian (Marcy) Kleiman of Greenfield and Darrin (Bernadette) Kleiman of New Palestine; niece, Tricia (Michael) Hanaway of Denver, IN; great nephews and nieces, Bryce, Joycelyn, Malerie, Sarah, Emily, and Audrey Kleiman, Jacob, Connor, and Zane Hanaway.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Muriel Kleiman; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Kleiman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 6513 W. 300 S., New Palestine, IN 46163 with funeral services to follow at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Jason Taylor will be officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in New Palestine.

Memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund, 6513 W. 300 S., New Palestine, IN 46163 or envelopes will be available at the church. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www. erleweinmortuary.com.
