Merry Chris (Smith) Kuo, 61, of Linesville, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2018, at her residence. Born December 25, 1957, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Donley and Gula Smith. She married Chih Kuo on July 3, 1989 in Linesville.

She was a graduate of Linesville High School. For three years, she served our country in the United States Army. Merry and her husband owned the Chinese Yankee in Linesville.

She was also a long time dedicated employee for Anderson Bus Company. She was very active in the community and had served as a councilwomen in Linesville. Merry was involved in the Linesville Chamber of Commerce and the Linesville Community and Business Alliance.

She was very patriotic and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Survivors include her loving husband Chih; her mother, Gula Smith of Linesville; three sisters, Geula Love and her husband, George, of Linesville, Donlee W. Hindman and her husband, Dennis, of Harmonsburg, and Susan L. Smith of Jefferson, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donley P. Smith and her brother, Gregory Paul Smith.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Linesville Presbyterian Church, 206 W. Erie St., Linesville with Rev. Rachel Johns officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville Community Library, P.O. Box 97, Linesville, Pa 16424.
