Michael Allen Durbin, age 59, of Grand Rapids, formerly of the Lawrence and Paw Paw area passed away October 17, 2018. Michael was born in Columbia, Missouri on March 3, 1959. Mike lived life to laugh, he had a huge heart and was willing to help others in any way he was able.

He proudly served his country in the Army and was employed as a welder. Mike loved Budweiser and enjoyed sports, especially NASCAR, he was truly a one of a kind man that will be missed by his loving family and many friends. Michael leaves his son, Shawn (Marquelle) Adkins, two grandchildren, Zachary and Cheyenne Adkins, his mother, Ruth (Bill) Johnson, two sisters, Patricia (Randy) Dunk and Barbara Duncombe, his step-brother, Chris Johnson, two step-sisters, Cindy (Jaye) Sleppy and Susan (Mark) Salee, along with many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Durbin. Cremation has taken place. Michael will be laid to rest at Wildey Cemetery in Paw Paw at a later date.

Those wishing to send a memorial or flowers are asked to make a memorial contribution to the VA in Grand Rapids in Michael’s memory.
