Michael Allen Miner, 73, a former Sylvania resident, passed away at his Bronson, MI, home Tuesday, May 2, 2018. He was a Firefighter with the Sylvania Township Fire Department for more than 25 years, retiring in 2000. During his tenure on the department Mike served as President of Sylvania Firefighters Local 2243.

He loved sailing on Lake Erie and life on Matteson Lake that he shared with his family. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Shelley (Ross) Miner; daughters Heather Parris, Teressa (Dale Vanderford) Hopkins, Wendy Kiser, and Mindy Hopkins; sons Jeff (Tammy) and Randy Miner; grandchildren Stephen (Malori), Morgan, Blake, Emmy, Matthew, Michael, Samantha, Casie, Katelynn, and Nick; great-granddaughter Camdynn. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Sunday May 6th from 2 – 9 PM, where Funeral Services will be held Monday the 7th at 1:30 P.M. Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider the Josina Lott Residential and Community Services, 120 N. Holland Sylvania Road, Toledo, OH.
