Obituary for Mr. Michael Chatman Mr. Michael Chatman Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Michael Chatman, 58, who entered eternal rest, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Basile Care Center in Basile, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory. Mr. Chatman is survived by his father, James Chatman, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; eleven brothers, Grimes Charles (Jane) of MS, Percy Chatman (Stephanie), Larry Charles (Martha), Johnny West, Jr. (Dana), James Handy, David Chatman (Laura), Benjamin Chatman (Carol) all of Opelousas, LA, Rev.

David W. Charles, Sr. (Anna) of Ville Platte, LA, Arthur Chatman of London, England, James Chatman, Jr. (Debbie) of Palmetto, LA and Bradley Chatman (Theresa) of Destin, VA; five sisters, Linda Leday (Robert), Deanna Chatman, Jo Lynn Prudhomme (Joseph), Angela Randell all of Opelousas, LA, Gladys Edwards (William) of Carencro, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Chatman was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Charles West; stepfather, Johnny West, Sr.; a brother, James Terry Chatman; a nephew, Moses James Charles; stepmother, Rose R. Chatman; maternal grandmother, Gladys Charles and other family members. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home.
