Minier, 71, of Wakefield, Michigan passed away on March 12, 2019. He was born on September 18, 1947 in Wakefield, son of the late Jerome and Nettie (Manchester) Minier. Mike was a lifelong resident of Wakefield.

He married Judith Keto on November 12, 1966. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2012. Mike worked in the logging industry all of his life and was self-employed for many years.

He was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Wakefield. Mike enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the casino, playing bingo and especially time spent with family and friends. He will be remembered as a real jokester by all who knew him.

He is survived by two sons, Jeremy (Christina) Minier and Michael Minier, both of Wakefield; five daughters, Michelle “Shelly” Minier, Crystal Falls, Mich. , Julie (Pete) Glatczak, Bessemer, Jeannie (Rudy) Perhalla, Ironwood, Mickie Woodcock, Wakefield and Jamie (William) Rowell, Palmyra, New York; two brothers, Raymond (Pat) Minier and Francis (Crystal) Minier, both of Idaho; nine sisters, Grace (Walter) Maki, Ironwood, Loretta (Chester) Raymond, Wakefield, Margie Zwick, Wakefield, Lydia Johnson, Ironwood, Cindy (John) Laakonen, Green Bay, Wisc. , Mona (Don) Gugliemotto, Bessemer, Paulette (Dennis) Baldwin, Bessemer, Pam Wilutis, Ironwood and Doris (Paul) Walter, Antigo, Wisc; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Judith, Mike was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Minier and two sisters, Ruth Raymond and Virginia Patterson. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Ironwood, from 4-6 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield. McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Ironwood, is assisting the family.
