Michael Francis Nolan, 66, a lifelong resident of Jersey City passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. A proud member of the Irish community, Michael was a long standing member of The Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and Ancient Order of Hibernians, Hudson County. He was “Irishman of the Year” in 2002 and “Grand Marshall” in 2007 of the Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Michael was also “Hibernian of the Year” in 2007. Michael worked for many years with Wilson Carpet and also owned RAM Floors in Jersey City. He enjoyed being very social and was a well-known bartender in many taverns throughout Jersey City.

Michael was the loving father of Stacey Nolan, Candice and son-in-law Bryan Peck, and U.S. Navy Chief Raymond Nolan; dear brother of Thomas J. Nolan, Jr., Mary Curtin, JoAnn Malavasi and the late Robert, James and Loretta; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and in-law’s. A Memorial Service will be on Sunday, March 3, 2019, 2:00pm to 5:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. , Jersey City, NJ 07306.

Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Jersey City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, P.O. Box 405, Jersey City, NJ 07303.
