Michael G. Davenport, 78, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Hospice of North West Ohio. He was born July 10, 1940 in Toledo, OH to Anson and Loretta (Gries) Davenport. Michael married Judith Eberhardt in 1962 and together they raised 3 children.

Michael was a life-long Sylvania resident, graduated from Burnham High School in 1959 and a life-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Michael and Judy owned M & J Grinding and Tool and he was a member of the National Tool & Die Association and the Society of Plastic Engineers. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting in Pennsylvania and fishing trips in Canada.

Long time member of the NRA. He was a local Elks member and Ottawa Lakes Sportsman Club member as well. Michael was a very proud American and traveled to all 50 states.

He loved playing golf but, mostly he loved spending quality time with his family. Michael held closest to his heart his family, faith, friends, home and his business. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Judith; children, Cynthia (Lowrey) Greene, Debra (Grant) Misson and Steven Davenport; grandchildren, Michael Greene, Samantha, Tyler and Abigail Misson; sister, Sharon (William) Burch; and brother, Robert (Patricia) Davenport and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother in law, Barbara and Dan Rush, and granddaughter, Jordan Misson. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Eileen Hsich from the Cleveland Clinic and the very compassionate and loving caregivers of Hospice of North West Ohio. Visitation will be at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main St., Sylvania, OH on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 3pm until 8pm, where a scripture service will be held at 7pm.

The Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church 5411 Main St., Sylvania, Oh on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10am. Those wishing to offer memorials in are asked to consider Make A Wish, Mom’s House or St. Joseph Catholic Church Sylvania. On-line condolences may be left at www.
