Michael Hoyt Shumpert, 57, of Elgin, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, October 14. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Visitation will follow the service.

Mr. Shumpert was born in Columbia, SC and was the son of the late Hoyt and Lillian Patterson Shumpert. He was employed with CMC Steel. Mike is survived by his wife, Lisa, and his son, Adam, who made him so proud.

He loved and cherished Adam more than life itself. He will be missed by so many loving friends. Mike was an avid outdoorsman since childhood, and passed away doing what he loved most.

RIP Grumpy Shumpy.
