Michael J. Byers was born on December 31, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio. He transitioned on May 20, 2018, in Rowlett, Texas, at age 63. Michael was employed at Boeing for more than 30 years until he retired.

Among many hobbies, he enjoyed football and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He also loved to cook.

BBQ was his specialty. Affectionately regarded as “Grandpa Mike”, Michael was funny and a loving caregiver. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Isaac Byers and Sarah Hughes Byers. Those left to cherish precious memories include his daughter, Tequilla Law; daughter, Angela Byers; daughter, Jovanna Byers; grandchildren: Ravaen Lomax-Cooke, Shawn Cook II, and Riley Surles; great-grandchildren, Sincere and Aamir; brothers, Timothy and Floyd; dear friend, Felecia Wilson; the Threet family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
