Obituary for Michael J. Wrobel Print WROBEL – Michael J. Of Batavia, NY, suddenly January 29, 2019, at age 60. Beloved husband of Lori (nee Welch); devoted and loving father of Lindsay and Patrick; loving son of Freda and the late Walter; son-in-law of Robert and Norma Welch; dearest brother of Patricia (James Sullivan), John (Ann Marie), Kathleen, Thaddeus, and Mary Beth Wrobel; brother-in-law of Michael (Deborah) and Kevin (Carolyn) Welch; also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and cousins. Visitation at the KOLANO FUNERAL HOME, 396 Amherst St. (near Grant), Friday 4-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Assumption Church, 435 Amherst St., Saturday at 11 AM. Please assemble at church. Michael will be remembered for his fighting spirit and zest for life, his green thumb, and his Blue Devil Popcorn.

Michael was the recipient of the 1965 American Heart Assoc. “Heart of the Year” Award. Donations in Michael’s memory are preferred to either the family or to the American Heart Assoc.
