Michael’s Obituary Michael Jodean Jones, 56, of Ellerbe, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at his home. Michael was born April 1, 1962 in Richmond, VA, a son of Joe Deen and Juanita Horton Jones of Austinville, VA. He was a member of Highland Acres Church of God and was employed with Monroe Small Engine in Rockingham.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughters, Dr. Tammie Gainey (Jason) of Rockingham, Valerie Jones, currently on a mission in China; grandchildren, Joshua, Jason Michael and Jaron Gainey; brother, Ricky Jones (Debbie) of Wytheville, VA and special friends Stacey and Eli Fain and Jared and Amanda Gainey and family. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Highland Acres Church of God with Rev. Marcus Shuler, Rev.

Jason Gainey and Rev. Tommy Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.

The family will see friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm Saturday at the church and at other times at the Gainey home. There will also be a celebration of his life at 7pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Sheeptown Church of God in Austinville, VA. The family will greet friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at the church.
