Michael John Bondura of Manns Choice passed into eternal rest on March 2nd, 2019 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford, PA. Born May 28, 1935 in Marion Heights, PA, he was the son of Andrew Edward and Mary Helen (Kolego) Bondura. Mike came of age in Baltimore, MD and enlisted in the US Army to serve in Korea as a Radio Operator.

He was honorably discharged with the rank of Pvt-2 and subsequently served in the US Army Reserves. He returned to Baltimore and married Patricia Ann Cronin on January 9th, 1960 where they had five children. He was employed as a driver.

In 1980 the family moved to Manns Choice, PA. Mike was well known in the community and served as an active member of St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by Patricia, his wife of 58 years, son Matthew Bondura and wife Jackie of Baltimore, son Marcus Bondura of Baltimore, daughter Maria Geesey and husband Mark of Mount Pleasant, SC, son Mario Bondura and wife Lesa of Buffalo Mills, PA, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Hansen of Ocean City, MD, widow of son Michael Anthony Bondura.

He is also survived by five grandchildren: Angela Carroll, Sarah Bondura, Marcus Bondura, Jr., Jessica Bondura, and Cosette Geesey. He was predeceased by son Michael Bondura and grandson Kyle Geesey. Friends will be received on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM March 5th, 2019 at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, PA. A reception in the church hall will follow. Interment will be at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church.
