Services for Michael (Mike) Don Tate, 67, a retired paint store owner, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery with Masonic rites.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home. Mike was born in Clifton, Texas, on April 27, 1951, to R. L. and Wanda Lou (Day) Tate, Jr He married Carla Sowders on June 29, 2002, in Valley Mills, Texas.

He was a member of the T. Neal Porter Masonic Lodge and the Morgan Mill Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Carla Tate; his children, Billy Tate, Lisa Tate, Morgan Tate, Laura McCarthy, and Amanda Berron and families; his sister, Cindy McManus and husband, Norm; step-children, Laura, Rebecca, Daniel and families; Pat’s children, Patricia, Jason and families; numerous cousins; special friend, Mike Hancock; and his cat, Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, R. L. Tate, Jr., and Wanda Tate, a brother, Pat Tate, maternal grandparents, Clyde and Clona Day, and paternal grandparents, Roy and Mattie Tate.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607, or the American Cancer Society, 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
