He was born May 30, 1950, in Buncombe County, son of the late Herbert and Mildred Williams. Michael was a loving father.

He loved fishing and camping and was a kind and caring person with a big smile and heart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Wendell Williams. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd.

Gastonia. Mr. Williams is survived by his children, Michael Williams Jr. and wife Kelly of Gastonia, Misty Benton and husband Jackie of Dallas; brothers, Ronald, David, and Donald Williams of Asheville; sisters, Janice Pace of Tulare, CA, Phyllis Owen of Pisgah Forest, NC, and Donna Gosney of New London, NC; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
