Millie was born December 29, 1922 in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of Cloyce and Jennie (Smith) Patterson. She was a virtuous woman, full of laughter and love.

Millie retired from Michigan Bell after 30 years service as a telephone operator. She went on to work two 10 years jobs at Fridays and Prieurs Painting. Surviving are: 3 children, Angela and husband Douglas Laney of Flushing, Randy and wife Gail Prieur of Sandusky, Ohio, and Scott and wife Mary Prieur also of Sandusky, Ohio; niece/daughter Marilyn and husband Jan Kemp, also of Sandusky; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Prieur and Miranda Reed both of Bastian, Va.

, Eva and husband David Shimer of Sandusky, Ohio, Georgia and husband Gary Spivey of Flushing, Michigan, Stephanie and husband Dee Williams of Sandusky, Ohio, and Joshua and wife Jamie Prieur of Oak Harbor, Ohio; 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; many others whom she dearly loved including Jeff and Sharin Caldwell of Burton, Michigan, Teresa Caldwell of Oregon, and Montee Prieur of Sandusky, Ohio, and many more who called her “Mom”. We know of no one who didn’t fall in love with this woman. SHe was amazing.

There was a big reunion in the sky upon her arrival since Millie was the last surviving member of her family. She was also greeted there by her ex husband of 13 years, best friend, and father of her 3 children, George Prieur. The memory of her words will remain alive in many of us who held her dear.

Millie would always say “You have to just roll with the punches”. She loved life, she loved to dance and play Euchre, to swim, and to spend time with her family. Her favorite songs were “Time Was”.

“I Will Survive,” and “Old Time ROck n Roll”. Millie stressed in her final days that she wanted everyone to know how much she loved them. Being a die-hard fan, she wanted us all to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers in her memory.

We will have a spring memorial service, celebrating her life at a big party as she requested, at a date to be announced later. Please contact the family with your address as invitations will be sent out for this event.
