Minnie Louise Pryor, 88, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was born November 12, 1929 in Marion, Alabama, to the late Bryant & Bertha Dobynes Melton. At an early age she confessed Christ and joined the Poplar Grove Baptist Church, of Selma, AL.

Mrs. Pryor later became a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of New Kensington. She was a licensed beautician, enjoyed sewing, quilting, dress making, barbecuing, baking, and traveling.

She also enjoyed watching her athletic children and grandchildren. She truly LOVED her family. Survivors include her children, David (Traci) Pryor, Benjamin Pryor, Terry (Sunshine) Pryor, and Tonya (Joel) Pryor-Norman; siblings, the Rev.

Bryant (Emma Jean) Melton Jr., of Tuscaloosa, AL and Carolyn (Jerome) Goode of Beaufort, SC; sisters-in-law, Mariam Melton of Birmingham, AL and Dorothy Melton of Atlanta, GA; uncle, Preston Dobynes of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben J. Pryor; children, Bertha Mae Pryor, Gosby “Goose” Pryor, and Martha Jean Pryor; siblings Willie Melton, David Melton, Millie Ford, Jonathon Melton, and Sarah Walker, and a sister in infancy, Maudie Melton.

Viewing will be Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD. , 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. A service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in Mt.

Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1150 Asa W. Roberts Way, New Kensington. Anyone attending the service is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold.
