Obituary for Mitzie Hurd Mitzie Hurd, 64, of Bristol, VA passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Ballad Hospice House. She was born in Bristol, TN on May 7, 1954. She was preceded in death by her father, John Booher and a brother, Greg.

She was a life long resident of Bristol and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She had worked as a seamstress at Blakley Mitchell for 19 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mitzie is survived by her husband of 23 years, Terry Hurd; five children, Kirk Roark, Chad Roark and wife Melissa, Travis Roark, Allen Hurd and wife Anitra, and Jessica Ingle and husband Mikey; grandchildren, Dustin Roark, Dylan Roark, Santana Roark, Devin Ingle, Frank Roark, Hailey Ingle, Patience Roark, Journey Roark, Lacie Trimmer, Jeremiah Hurd, Anissa Daggs, Quentin Daggs, and Donte Daggs; six great grandchildren; mother, Margie McCroskey Sculthorpe; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Thomas and husband Bill and Sharon Leberstien and husband Jay, five brothers, Danny Booher, James Booher, Mark Sculthorpe, Tom Sculthorpe and wife Michele, and Scott Sculthorpe; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, Bristol, VA. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Burrell officiating.
