Obituary for Mrs Ann Smith Robinson Annie “Ann” Smith- Robinson, age 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was born March 14, 1956 in Suffolk VA, to Emanuel D Smith and Levora Bush-Smith. In her early years Ann lived in Chuckatuck, VA and attended John Yeates High School.

She was loved in her community. She married Richard Preston Robinson II on August 23, 1986, in Smithfield VA. Ann worked for over twenty years at Hillcrest (Nansemond Pointe) Nursing Center in Suffolk VA, where she displayed her wonderful knack for caring for others.

Ann later went on to become an entrepreneur and owner of the floral design business, “Ann’s Creations”. She was active in the community as a member Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc, Amicae Portsmouth VA, and the Portsmouth Chapter of Garden Clubs of Virginia. Ann loved her family and truly lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of visiting with friends and family, travelling, preparing large family meals, and creating artistic decorative pieces for her business.

Ann had a beautiful ability to reach people by giving and creating smiles and laughter. She is survived by her mother Levora Smith and sisters Joyce Carney, Eartheree Williams, Tammie Barnes (Milton) and Lee Cherry Vincent. She is also survived by her husband, Richard P. Robinson II, a son Tingo C. Smith, two daughters Domonique R. Robinson and Shantina B. Robinson.

From her three children Ann also leaves four preciously loved granddaughters Kiana Kettering, Anayah Smith, Ameerah Smith and Khloe Noel. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A viewing will take place at Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road Suffolk VA 23434 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
