Obituary for MSGT Leslie E. Gore Jr USAF (ret) MSGT Leslie E. Gore Jr. USAF (ret),73, of Summerville, husband of Charlene Gore, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Summerville Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Septembers 8, 2018 at 3 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.

Les was born on July 8, 1945 in Alexandria, LA. He was retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He spent 29 years with the USAF, of which 19 years he was with the Army as an Army Ranger.

In 1985, he was honored as one of the 12 Outstanding Airman of the Year. Survivors including his wife Charlene: two sons: Lonnie and Lance Gore; one daughter: Daniella; step-daughter: Jacqueline Joyce; step-son: John Milkowski; grandchildren: Logan and Jordan. He was predeceased by one step-son: Thomas Milkowski.
