OBITUARY MYRON D. COLE May 30, 1932 – October 23, 2018 Ret. MSG Myron D. Cole, 86, born May 30, 1932 in Buffalo, NY, passed away October 23, 2018. Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Cole and by his wife of 65 years, Helene Marie Cole.

He is survived by sons; Thomas (Rita), Robert (Donna), Russell and Wyane (David); grandchildren, Jennifer Matthew, Caitlin and Jonathon; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Lauren. Myron retired after 22 years in the United States Army, having served tours of duty in Korea, post WWII Berlin and Vietnam. After his military career, he had several positions at Fort Gordon, starting as Sports Director at DYA and finally retiring from the Medical Records Department of Eisenhower Medical Center.

He was a lifetime member of VFW, Post 649 and the American Legion, Post 178. He also served as one of the Founding Members of the Fort Gordon CSRA Officials Association. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Rd.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, in the mausoleum chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Park, Deans Bridge Rd. In lieu of flowers, friends may consider donating to the Georgia Chapter, Augusta Regional Office of the Alzheimer’s Association, in memory of his wife, Helene Cole.
