Myrtice Hamm Tapp , age 86 died July 3, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m., July 5th, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton with Rev. Terry Allen and Rev.

Gary Cadwell officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service in the church cemetery with Rev. Steve Tucker officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Grandsons, Rodney Jackson, Derrick Jackson, Jonathan Halstead, Carson Tapp, Clay Tapp, Warren Elder and Ross Parrish will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Tapp was born on June 23, 1932 in Colquitt County to the late Charlie and Lena Mae Morris Hamm.

She was married to the late Wallace Tapp. She spent most of her life as a loyal farmer’s wife and keeping many children from the community in her home. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for over 50 years.

She will be remembered for her homemade biscuits and peach jelly. Mrs. Tapp is survived by her children, Sherry (Alan) Johnson of Greensboro, Troy (Elaine) Tapp and Jan (Bill) Moore both of Tifton, daughter in law, Joyce Jackson of Enigma, as well as her grandchildren, Rodney Jackson of Enigma, Derrick (Amanda) Jackson of Nashville, Jonathan (Kelly) Halstead of Tifton, Angela (Warren) Elder of Fitzgerald, Gena Lynn (Ross) Parrish of Tifton, Carson (Kimberly) Tapp of Ocilla, Clay (Kelly) Tapp of Sparks, Anna Johnson of Louisville, Ky. , Maggie (Kyle) Brooks of Buford and Molly Johnson of Atlanta, Ellen Johnson of Riverside, Ca.

and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Carl (Christine) Hamm and Donald Hamm, both of Norman Park. She will be fondly remembered as well by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tapp was preceded in death by a son Harold Jackson, an infant child and infant great grandchild, as well as ten brothers and sisters. Gifts may be made in memory of Mrs. Tapp to Liberty Baptist Church 1290 Jacob Hall Rd. Tifton, Ga.
