She was the fifth of seven children. Myrtle was raised in Floydada, Texas and attended Floydada ISD. She accepted Christ into her life as a child and united with Hopewell Baptist Church in Floydada, Texas.

Myrtle Jean Clark passed away on March 6, 2019 in Crockett, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Willie McCullough; brother, Onnie McCullough; sister, Iretha Robertson. Loving survivors: special friend, Dennis Strange, Crockett, Texas; three sons, Herman McCullough, Cleburne, Texas, Billy Hollman, Sr. (Carla P.), Crockett, Texas and Dajuan Logan, Lufkin, Texas; three daughters, LouAnn McCullough, Linda Riggins (Robert), and Pearlie Hollman, all of Crockett, Texas; brother, Lawerence (Sonny) McCullough, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters, Florence McBride, Waco, Texas, Ida B. McCullough, Cleburne, Texas and Ozzie Ellison, Cleburne, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
